Anxiety
Persistent worry, panic or overthinking that is hard to switch off.
Talk to a qualified therapist at SafeMind Studio on Baner-Balewadi Road. Private, non-judgemental sessions for stress, anxiety, low mood, relationships and more, in person or online.

Finding a therapist can feel harder than it should. You are already tired or worried, and now you have to compare strangers online. At SafeMind Studio in Balewadi, we try to make that first step easier: one phone call, no referral, and a psychologist who listens before anything else.
Our therapists are psychologists trained in talk therapy. They see adults, young people and couples. If you are not sure whether you need a therapist or a counsellor, read our psychology counselling page, or meet the wider psychologist team. You can also find out who we are on our about page.
A therapist helps you understand your thoughts, feelings and behaviour, and works with you to change what is not serving you. Therapy is not advice-giving. It is a collaborative process where you set the direction and the therapist brings training, structure and a steady, non-judgemental presence.
Our therapists draw on approaches such as CBT, humanistic and psychodynamic therapy, and choose what suits your needs instead of using one method for everyone.
In everyday conversation the words overlap. What matters is training, experience and fit. Read our guide to how to choose the right therapist in Baner for more detail.
The title “therapist” is used loosely, so it helps to know the difference:
People come to therapy for many reasons. Some are covered in more detail on our pages for depression, couples therapy and child psychologist.
Persistent worry, panic or overthinking that is hard to switch off.
Sadness, tiredness and loss of interest that lingers.
Pressure that follows you home. See emotional burnout vs depression.
Conflict, distance or repeating patterns with partners and family.
Self-criticism, perfectionism or fear of judgement.
Loss, breakups, relocation and other transitions.
Working through difficult events in your own time.
Exams, friendships and identity.
A sense that something needs to change.
You do not have to be at breaking point. It may be time if:
Our article on why therapy helps even when you think you are okay explains why waiting for a crisis is not necessary.

Your first session is mostly about getting to know each other. Expect to:
Tell them. A good therapist will welcome the feedback. The relationship is one of the strongest factors in how helpful therapy feels, and it is fine to say if the fit is not right.
There is no fixed answer. Some people find a few sessions enough for a specific issue, while others continue for longer to work on deeper patterns. Your therapist will review progress with you regularly and adjust the plan, so you are never locked into a set number of sessions.
Therapy is not a quick fix, and progress is rarely a straight line. Results vary from person to person.
Each session is tailored, but this is the usual rhythm.
You talk about how things have been since you last met.
You and the therapist choose what to work on that day.
Conversation, reflection and sometimes exercises that help you notice patterns.
You may try small things between sessions, only if you are comfortable.
Regularly, you look at what is changing and whether the plan still fits.
A simple, supportive and structured process, explained to you at the start.
Share what you are facing and what you want.
Agree on goals and approach.
Regular sessions with space to review.
Build skills and feel more settled.
Choose in-person sessions at our Balewadi studio, or online if you work from home or live further away.

Founder | SafeMind Psychology Counselling Clinic | B.H.M.S | Certified Psychology Counsellor (NHCA) | Certified in CBT and Neuroplasticity | MBA in Healthcare & Hospital Management
My journey towards SafeMind has been a process of self-development. As an empath, I have always connected strongly to others and their struggles, caring to help them navigate through their difficulties. Yet, before being able to reach out to others, I needed to learn to listen to myself, set my boundaries, understand and nurture my needs. Only then have I been able to dedicate myself fully to serving others. With over ten years of experience, I have logged hundreds of hours listening to people’s struggles while endeavouring to create a judgement-free space for people to express their deepest fears and darkest thoughts. Over these 10 years, I have worked with children, teens, and adults, addressing various complex issues, including relationship and parent-child problems, ADHD, depression, emotional difficulties, and a sense of feeling stuck in one’s life. Drawing from my vast experience and employing a number of therapeutic approaches, such as CBT, DBT, EFT, NLP, and knowledge of neuroplasticity, I offer my clients a truly integrated approach to solving their problems. I believe that being in therapy should be a comfortable, safe experience, where the client is an active participant in the process rather than being told what to do by the therapist. Today, I am humbled and truly grateful for the ability to help people all around the globe, both locally, at SafeMind in Balewadi-Baner, Pune, and internationally, via online therapy. My mission with SafeMind is to help you return to yourself, to your true self!
Experienced. Compassionate. Here for You.
